Episode 37

Boarder Crisis, “Shitty Media Men”, War Crimes, School Polls, Alien Contact

Ravi, Cory, and Rikki start things off with a quick reminder to check out the Desi Crime Podcast that recently joined the Lost Debate network. From there, they delve into probable Russian war crimes in Ukraine, the defamation trial over the “Shitty Media Men” list, Biden’s controversial decision to lift Title 42 at the southern border, and generational and political divides on education, before ending with a hearty debate about humans trying to contact aliens.

Ravi reminds our dear audience about the newest podcast in the Lost Debate network. [00:21]

Ravi, Cory, and Rikki discuss the atrocities we’re seeing in Bucha, Ukraine and whether the evidence will amount to prosecutable war crimes. From there, they debate what makes war crimes unique, how the standards are applied unevenly, and why consequences for Putin might be wishful thinking. [01:34]

Ravi moves on to the defamation lawsuit moving forward against the creator of the “Shitty Media Men” list, recounting how it came to be and the firings that resulted before opening up the conversation to Cory and Rikki on anonymous accusations. [13:16]

Cory explains the soon to be lifted Title 42 and how it’s been used to expel asylum seekers at the southern border over the last two years. Ravi parses out Biden’s motivation behind lifting the measure now, while Rikki unpacks the country’s lack of preparedness to handle a further surge in migrants. [24:06]

Ravi walks us through some new polling on how different generations view school choice and what the splits illustrate about political polarization in America. [33:17]

Ravi finally reveals his anti-human agenda as the hosts banter about the existence of aliens and whether it’s wise to transmit our location to possibly hostile beings. [38:54]
